Bakugan Battle Brawlers is a collectible toy and card game based on a Japanese anime television show. This is one of the best-sellers this holiday season, and has lots of room for expansion.
At first glance, the rules may seem a bit complicated, but are easily understood after a few rounds. Basically, players sit across from each other and place Bakugan Gate Cards on the battle board. Then each player, in turn, rolls their Bakugan onto the board. If the Bakugan rolls over a gate card it opens automatically and is ready for battle. Players have three Bakugan Battle Brawlers, three Gate Cards, and three Ability Cards each. Advanced players may also add one trap to make for more exciting play. Each Brawler has a point value.
