Lady Gaga Wears Crown, No Pants for Her Birthday

Gaga, the birthday girl. (London Entertainment/Splash News)Lady Gaga may have told Oprah Winfrey that she didn't "intend to speak to anyone for a very long time," but she's certainly commanding attention in other ways. Her latest "look at me" moment occurred on Wednesday (her 26th birthday) — a mere 10 days after her comment to Winfrey — when the pop star stepped out in West Hollywood in a rhinestone-covered crown, studded motorcycle jacket … and no pants. Instead, Gaga, who also carried around a little dog in a white T-shirt, opted for a pair of black sheer tights over her brief-style panties. She even posted a photo of her kooky getup on Twitter, with a message to her more than 21 million followers: "I can be, the Queen that's inside of me. You guys are the best."

Katy Perry vs. Zoe Saldana – Fashion Faceoff

Katy Perry (A/X17online.com)

Pop star Katy Perry and "Avatar" actress Zoe Saldana don't exactly have the same tastes in fashion. Katy prefers out-there ensembles, like the glow-in-the-dark gown she sported at the 2010 Met Gala, while Zoe usually opts for a more sophisticated and lady-like style. Recently, though, their closets collided when the two stepped out in very similar versions of a gold-and-white Balmain Spring 2012 mini dress just seven months apart. Now it's up to us to decide who wore it better!

12 Worst Hair Conditioners

Is it really too much to ask for a conditioner to do as it claims? To give me soft and shiny hair that tumbles gently over my shoulders, instead of a tangled, out-of-control mess that sticks up every which way?

I think not.

But sadly, I've spent a small fortune on conditioners that did absolutely nothing to tame my rat's nest of a head. And I don't want you to repeat my money-sucking, let-down inducing mistakes.

OMG! That’s a 45-foot paper airplane soaring over the desert

"It's not every day that a giant paper airplane is released high over the Arizona desert. In fact, it's never been done. But that's exactly what the Pima Air & Space Museum did," the museum wrote on its wonderfully named Web site, GreatPaperAirplane.org. "A couple months ago, hundreds of kids came to the museum to show us what paper airplane flying was all about. And now, inspired by their enthusiasm, we built a 45-foot paper airplane (quite possibly the largest ever constructed) and flew it."

Busy Boomers

Switching to a gluten free diet will have you eating more fresh fruits and vegetables. This is of course a great thing. The one area of gluten free living which can be a concern is that of getting enough iron and minerals into your diet.

Traditional products like breads and pasta’s have been fortified with irons and minerals, especially the B and D vitamins along with zinc. This has prevented the population from suffering from vitamin deficiencies.

Gluten free diet is something I need to look into. I've heard about a great results from using it.

300 Danish lottery players accidentally told they’re billionaires

(AFP/Jean-Loup Gautreau)The Danish state-run lottery says it accidentally sent letters to 300 Keno winners falsely informing them that they had each won 28 billion kroner (about $5 billion).

"Three hundred of our lottery players who won the lottery, the Keno, received a message saying they had won a sum in the billions. And they never won that amount," Thomas Roersig, a spokesman for the state-run lottery company Danske Spil told AFP. "We are of course very sorry. We have now written to them to inform them of the sum that they really won," Roersig said.

By TRACEY COX

Do men cheat more often than women? Should you confess if you've had an affair? Is cheating always about sex? Read on for the top 12 infidelity myths and the truth—or lack thereof!—behind them.

Myth #1: People cheat because they're unhappy at home.
If you're female, this is usually the case. Women in long-term marriages who are having affairs report low satisfaction with their marriage. For men, on the other hand, that's not necessarily the case. Many men who love their partners and have great sex at home never turn down an opportunity for a bit on the side if they think they can get away with it. In one study, 56 percent of cheating men surveyed said their marriages were very happy. Only 34 percent of unfaithful women agreed.

6 reasons you should never retire

Threats to retirement security are everywhere. The list is topped by the recession-fueled impact on retirement confidence: People haven't set aside nearly enough money to fund their retirements.

Next on the list is the regular drumbeat from critics that the Social Security system is running out of money and won't be able to honor its current promises to people nearing retirement.

Even the opportunity cost of your out-of-pocket costs (what you'd make if you invested the money elsewhere), is part of the overall tally.

Home buyers mistakes: Top real estate traps to avoid

Buying a home can be as exciting as it is overwhelming. Two real-estate experts share their insights into all-too-common house-buying mistakes.

Not being pre-approved for a mortgage
“This is the number-one mistake,” says Kimberley Marr, a Toronto real-estate broker and author of Your First Home—A Buyer’s Kit for Condos and Houses. “I wouldn’t even go look at a house until you know what you’re preapproved for. It could provide leverage in getting the house.”

Jon Bon Jovi Turns 50… Still On His Starter Marriage

Jon and Dorothea Bon Jovi in 2010 [Photo: Gregg DeGuire/FilmMagic]As Jon Bon Jovi celebrates his 50th birthday on March 2, there's also another milestone worth noting: He's also one of the very few major rock stars to make it to the half-century mark while still on his first wife.

The namesake frontman of Bon Jovi has been married to his high school sweetheart, Dorothea, since they wed in a seemingly quickie ceremony at Las Vegas' Graceland Wedding Chapel in 1989. Jon and Dorothea had been on and off as a couple for a decade prior to that. But, aside from a brief pre-marital dalliance with actress Diane Lane, the rocker hasn't been publicly linked to any other sweeties besides his first crush.

Why skinny jeans are bad for your health

Why skinny jeans are bad for your health

A good reason not to lament wearing your fat jeans this morning: According to a recent article in the Wall Street Journal, skinny jeans may look good, but wearing them may come with a handful of unanticipated health effects. There's even a medical term to describe what you're feeling when you're strutting your zipped-up stuff: Tight Pants Syndrome.

What's the problem with wearing pants so tight they could be mistaken for body paint? Nerve compression, heartburn, abdominal discomfort and numbness are a few side effects mentioned in the piece. The article also proposes a link between skinny jeans, lower back pain, yeast infections and belching. Good times.

Credit score: Why good financial behaviour can actually drag it down

So, what's your credit score? It's a bit like asking a woman how much she weighs, and the answer is fraught with just as much fear of judgment. But just like the number on the scale doesn't tell the whole story about your health, a pristine credit score is quite often not the symbol of financial virtuosity many believe it to be. In fact, some of the actions that drive up your score may actually drag down your finances.
